Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data the Royal Marble app (Android, iOS and web) collects, why, and what you can do about it. The app is a work tool for Royal Marble staff in the United Arab Emirates: it records attendance at work sites, working hours, leave and pay. Accounts are created by Royal Marble for its employees; the app is not offered to the general public.

In short: we use your location only to check you in and out at your work site and to record your working hours. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share it with anyone outside Royal Marble except the service providers that run the app.

Data we collect

Account details: name, username, email address, phone number, company, role, preferred language and an optional profile photo.
Location (including in the background): while you are signed in as a site worker, the app uses your device's location, also when the app is closed or not in use, to detect when you arrive at and leave your assigned work site. We store your latest position and the time and place of each check-in and check-out. Location is not collected after you sign out.
Motion activity: used on the device only, to pause location tracking while you are not moving and save battery. It is not stored.
Work records: attendance and time sheets, working hours, overtime, site and client visits, leave requests, and payroll details (pay package, rate and payslips).
Photos and documents you choose to upload: a profile photo, or a hospital report attached to a sick-leave request. The app only accesses the camera or photos when you choose to take or pick one.
Device and app data: a notification token (to send you work alerts), device model, app version, location permission and battery-saver status, and crash reports (to fix errors).

How we use it

To check you in and out at your work site and calculate your working hours.
To calculate pay, overtime and leave, and to prepare payslips and reports.
To let supervisors and the office see who is on site and manage sites and visits.
To send you notifications about your work (for example leave decisions or check-in reminders).
To keep the app working and secure, and to fix crashes.

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Who can see it

Inside Royal Marble: only people whose role needs it (your supervisors, HR and administrators). Workers cannot see other workers' data.
Service providers: the app runs on Google Firebase (sign-in, database, file storage, notifications, crash reports) and uses Google Maps and Google Sign-In. They process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.
Authorities: only when UAE law requires it.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored in Google Firebase. Access is limited by account and by role.

How long we keep it

Account details, your latest location and your profile photo are kept while you have an account and are deleted when the account is deleted. Attendance, payroll and visit records are kept as long as UAE labour and tax law requires, because the company must keep employment and pay records.

Your choices and rights

You can turn off location permission in your device settings at any time, but automatic check-in and check-out will then not work.
You can view and update your profile in the app.
You can delete your account in the app (Menu → My profile → Delete my account) or on the web at royal-marble.web.app/delete-account.
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by email (below). We reply within 30 days.

Children

The app is for employees only and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
